MAISON SOLILOQUY

EVERY HOME, A ROLE TO PLAY

Born in France Christine is an interior decorator with 20 years of experience in the film industry’s art department. Drawing from her theater background and passion for character development, she sees each space as a narrative - where objects and textures act as x-ray-like metaphors of the inner self.

Her collaborative approach leads to environments that are both visually striking and deeply personal spaces that reflect who we are, and who we are becoming.

SPACE PLANNING

OPTIMIZE ROOM LAYOUT

In this relocated 1890 Queen Anne of Angelino Heights, the design challenge lay in preserving the home’s architectural integrity while reimagining its interiors for contemporary living. The intervention sought to amplify the era’s noble materials, introduce a sense of openness, and replace what modest means once denied — a graceful staircase now anchors the newly designed library. Each element is deliberately designed—from the contour and tactile quality of the top rail to the fleur-de-lis–inspired blocks and the meticulously crafted wooden handrail.

CONCEPT TO BUILD

In this 24 sq. ft. bath of a tenant unit, a full remodel removed unnecessary partitions to create openness and practicality. A soft color palette enhances luminosity, while large-format, durable floor tile eliminates grout lines for effortless maintenance.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

DEFINING STORY, COLORS & CHARACTER

The sourcing of art and furniture became the anchor for concept development, shaping the identity of this on-location office. Each piece informed the palette, mood, and spatial flow—ensuring a cohesive design that embodied the character of a female executive leading an organic snack brand: modern, grounded, and effortlessly refined.
